Words from the GK
New Fraternal Year!
by Ed Newell on 07/14/15
Welcome to a new fraternal year 2015/2016. We started out the year with
installation of Officers and a party afterwards. Thanks to everyone and their families who
attended. July 10, 11, 12 was the State
organizational meeting. John Kunkle, Pat
Callahan and Myself attended to welcome in our new state officers. In addition
we attended our respective meetings to furtherer our knowledge of our duties
and responsibilities as GK, FS and PD.
As always the meeting was very informational. The New State Deputy Jim Caffery’s Moto is
“United in Faith Family and Service for the Glory of God” The State is also
upgrading the website and the new site should be released in a couple weeks.
The State also has a new FB page if you are on FB.
The Council Officers and I look forward to serving our new Pastor Father Sam, the Parish, our Families and our Community for another year. Jump on board and ride the wave to a great 2015/2016 fraternal year.
Summer Refection
by Ed Newell on 09/03/14Just a few words of reflection on a great summer full of great events and programs. Looking back we supported the Run for the Soul 5K, Bill Moore’s retirement BBQ, four Back Yard Theology Session, had two Steaks & Stogies nights, three 1st Degree exemplifications, a council garage sale fundraiser, Corpus Christi procession, two Corporate Communion Masses, Elections with Installation celebration, A Marriage Vow Renewal Mass and the Parish Fair and Membership Drive. A Huge thank you to all that participated in these events making this summer Very Successful. I look forward to seeing you all at our fall and winter events and programs. Please see the calendar of events and plan out some time to spend with your Brother Knights at one or more of our programs.
If you have not heard our Seminarian Erik Vigil will be ordained a Deacon September 6th. Eric will then be celebrating at the 4:30 Mass that day. Our council will be hosting a reception following Mass. Please plan attending if you can.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank PGK Pat Callahan for the great job he did. He left some pretty large shoes to fill. Thanks to all the officers and members for your continued support of the council.
